The Sun

Sun The planets regulate energy flow and represent the dimensions of experience. The term "Planet" is used to describe the major heavenly bodies that are close to our home planet, Earth. (If someone was born on Mars, for example, then this system would still apply--yet in relation to Mars. We'd use the Earth as a planet and take both of Mars' moons into account!) This thus includes the Sun and the Moon, even though they are not planets; they are a star and a satellite, respectively. However, to simplify, we use the term planet.

A Sun Sign and is determined by the month and day a person enters this world. This is the main sign people know themselves as, for example "I was born on the 25th of March, so I am an Aries."

Sun Signs will reveal much regarding our essential personality, particularly our INNER SELF. It reveals the part of our personality that is our basic self, or who we are when we are not surrounded by other people. In other words our essential personality is our most basic, broad, inner traits.

Remember that your Sun sign is just a portion of who you are. Your Moon Sign and Rising Sign are equally important and must be blended together to get an accurate description of your true personality, as well as your other Planetary signs. People sometimes don't feel closely connected to their Sun sign, because they may have a large number of planets under another sign. This all contributes to how each person is a complex individual. No two people born on the same day will be exactly like, not even twins. (Interstingly, with twins: one twin ends up becoming the manifestation of their Sun sign, while the other usually ends up being the polar opposite! This is a fascinating idea in Astrology known as polarity.)

What begins by examining your Sun Sign and understanding the makeup of your essential personality can lead to the discovery of your complete astrological makeup and may allow you to look through a lens and completely understand yourself with astounding clarity

We revolve around the Sun, and the Sun in turn passes in front of the constellations year round as we travel around our galaxy. Due to a slightly irregular orbit, the Sun enters a sign at a slightly different time every year. That is why one year, someone born on April 20 could be an Aries, and someone born the next year on April 20 can be a Taurus.
